Former Foxborough High School Special Education Teacher Sentenced for Child Pornography Crimes

BOSTON – Thomas Davis, a 43-year-old former teacher from Foxborough High School, faced justice today in a Boston federal court for his involvement in child pornography. Chief U.S. District Court Judge F. Dennis Saylor IV sentenced Davis to a five-year prison term, which will be followed by five years of supervised release. In February 2023, Davis admitted his guilt, pleading guilty to one count of possession and receipt of child pornography. According to a US Attorney district of Massachusetts press release.

Acting United States Attorney Joshua S. Levy emphasized the severity of the crime, stating, “Child pornography is not a victimless crime – every image or video depicts real-life pain and abuse inflicted on an innocent child. Mr. Davis, in his role as a teacher, was expected to protect and safeguard children, but he grossly violated this sacred duty.” in his press release.

Jodi Cohen, Special Agent in Charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Boston Division, highlighted the FBI’s commitment to tracking down individuals involved in child pornography. She expressed particular dismay at Davis’ role, given his former position as an educator. According to the release.
