MCI-Concord’s closure plan prompts ‘concerns,’ letter to Gov. Healey says

The looming closing of the oldest men’s state prison in Massachusetts has one corrections officers union concerned about what that could mean for other prisons. In a letter from the Massachusetts Correction Officers Federated Union to Gov. Maura Healey, it said the closing has the officers’ union “concerned over how this will happen logistically and how it will place our other facilities at an increased threat level.”
