Man pleads guilty to selling machinegun parts to undercover agent in Massachusetts

BOSTON (WWLP) – A Chelsea man pleaded guilty on Thursday in connection with trafficking machinegun conversion devices.

According to the Department of Justice in Boston, 50-year-old Michael Williams agreed to sell several machinegun conversion devices and other firearm accessories to an undercover federal agent in January 2023. He met with the undercover agent and sold three machinegun conversion devices and numerous rounds of ammunition.

Williams was arrested in July 2023 and pleaded guilty to two counts of transferring or possessing a machinegun and one count of being a felon in possession of ammunition. He is scheduled to be sentenced on May 15th.
