Boston Methamphetamine Dealer Sentenced to 10 Years in Prison

Boston, MA – Joshua Westbrook, a 26-year-old Boston resident, received a 10-year prison sentence yesterday in federal court for his involvement in distributing substantial amounts of methamphetamine. U.S. District Court Judge Angel Kelley also imposed a five-year term of supervised release following Westbrook’s incarceration. Westbrook had pleaded guilty in April 2023 to one count of distribution and possession with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine.

The investigation revealed that Westbrook was a significant methamphetamine supplier, engaging in the sale of large quantities of the drug. In a notable incident in November 2021, within Dorchester, he distributed over 360 grams of pure methamphetamine to a cooperating witness. Westbrook was notably armed with multiple knives, including one resembling a machete, during this transaction. In a related event the same month, authorities intercepted a package intended for Westbrook containing over 440 grams of pure methamphetamine. The ongoing investigation further led to the seizure of an additional 500 grams of pure methamphetamine, alongside a machete and a billy club from Westbrook.
