Man sentenced for distributing methamphetamine in Massachusetts

BOSTON (WWLP) – A man from Lebanon, Maine was sentenced to prison for his role in connection with trafficking methamphetamine in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Northern California.

According to the Department of Justice in Boston, 44-year-old Jacob Parlin was arrested in March 2021 in New Hampshire as he drove home to Maine from the Boston area after meeting with a co-conspirator. Police seized approximately 880 grams of 100% pure methamphetamine that was found beneath the driver’s seat. After further investigation, more than three kilograms of methamphetamine, about a dozen firearms, and approximately $95,000 in cash.

During his trial, evidence was shown that beginning in or about March 2020 through May 2021, Parlin conspired with others to distribute and possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine in an amount greater than 50 grams.

In November 2023 Parlin was convicted by a federal jury of conspiracy to distribute and to possess with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine and distribution of and possession with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine.
