Brookline launches food waste drop-off test program

BROOKLINE, Mass. – Would you collect food scraps and bring them to drop-off bins to be turned into compost? That’s the new program being tested in Brookline. Four rodent-proof bins spread across the town will accept food scraps from homes to be converted into compost. According to the Department of Public Works, all types of food scraps, including meat, bones and dairy will be accepted in the bins.
