East Orange Native, Ex-Giant Jabrill Peppers Arrested On Assault Charges: Reports

Citing Braintree, MA police, NBC says police responded to a disturbance call at a local home Saturday morning, Oct. 5 where the 29-year-old East Orange, NJ native had allegedly been involved in an altercation.

He will apparently be charged with assault and battery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, strangulation and possession of cocaine, NBC says.

Peppers was raised in East Orange and attended Don Bosco Prep in Ramsey, but later left to play for Paramus Catholic. Peppers was a state championship winner all four years of high school. He also set a record for the New Jersey Non-Public Class A outdoor 100-meter dash record with a time of 10.77 seconds as a track star.

After his time playing for Michigan, Peppers played for the Cleveland Browns, NY Giants, and now is on the Patriots.
