Animal Rescue League plans new facilities – next to its current South End building

The Animal Rescue League of Boston yesterday filed plans to replace its current two-story South End home with a more modern three-story home right next door. In a filing with the Boston Planning Department, the non-profit says it would remain open at its current Chandler Street home until the new building is completed, then move into that and tear the current building down.
