Brockton school cop due in court; Super Single Mom award winner: 5 top stories last week

BROCKTON — Brockton School Police Officer Darnell E. Campbell is due in court in late October to face charges he faked his timesheets. Separately, Campbell has had his badge and gun taken away while a police watchdog commission decides whether to decertify him as a law enforcement officer.

Middleboro Animal Control executed a warrant at 53 Precinct St. as part of an ongoing animal welfare investigation. Inside the home, animal control officers discovered 17 unregistered dogs living in unsanitary conditions without access to food or water.

Brockton native Tracy Ramos won the Super Single Mom award from Victories For Families, a non-profit founded in Brockton.
