Newly Minted Millionaire: Dorchester Man Has Big Plans For His Big Payday

A Dorchester man won a $1 million jackpot in the Massachusetts State Lottery last week.

Emanuel Correia won the seven-figure prize for playing the ” 300X ” game, a $30 scratch-off ticket.

He chose to take the lump sum of $650,000 (before taxes) rather than the annuity.

Correia plans to buy a home with his winnings.

He bought the ticket at Star 50 Convenience at 303 Geneva Ave. in Dorchester. The store will get a $10,000 bonus for the sale.
