BOSTON – Volunteers at theGreater Boston Food Bank are distributing 1,200 turkeys to families in need as part of their Thanksgiving initiative. “One in three people remain food insecure in our state. Think about that. We are a small state. One in three. That’s awful. That’s unacceptable. We are here to make sure that we do something about it,” said Catherine D’Amato, the president and CEO of the Greater Boston Food Bank.
