NORWELL – A 28-year-old Pembroke man driving a motorcycle was killed in with a pickup truck Thursday, according to Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz and Norwell Police Chief Edward Lee.
The driver of a Toyota Tacoma was traveling west on Pond Street and attempting to turn left into a business about 1:30 p.m., when the truck was apparently struck on the passenger side by a Kawasaki motorcycle operated by Jacob Foss, according to a report.
Foss was taken to South Shore Hospital in Weymouth, where he was pronounced dead. The Toyota driver was also transported to South Shore Hospital for treatment of injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
The accident reduced traffic on Pond Street to one lane of traffic for several hours. An investigation by State and Norwell police is ongoing.
