Two Boston men are accused of drug trafficking after police said they found numerous bags of crack cocaine, marijuana and more than $500 in cash following a traffic stop.
Dakwain Nwaford, 33, of Boston and Terrell Jackson, 30, of Dorchester were arrested around 12:13 p.m. Tuesday for drug trafficking, police said.
Both men were charged with trafficking of Class B and possession with intent to distribute Class D. Nwaford was also charged with possession with intent to distribute Class B and distribution of Class B, subsequent offense. Both were expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
Officers were conducting an ongoing drug investigation when they saw a vehicle park in front of an apartment on East Dedham Street. Police said the suspect, who had an active warrant for his arrest, exited an apartment and entered the vehicle.
Officers began to follow the vehicle and requested a marked cruiser to assist with a traffic stop. Officers were able to stop the vehicle in the area of Taber Street and Harrison Avenue, and immediately placed the front passenger into handcuffs related to his arrest warrant, police said.
