Off-duty Stoughton police sergeant attacked in road rage incident, police say

An off-duty Stoughton police sergeant was attacked by two people in what police said was a road rage incident on Sunday. Around 1 p.m. Sunday, the Stoughton Police Department said Vashiyra Mason, 20 of Randolph, drove into the oncoming traffic lane and around the off-duty officer’s vehicle on Pine Street. During this, she side-swiped the front of the car, police said. The off duty officer, whose name was not released, followed Mason to a Stop & Shop parking lot.
