The Quincy Animal Shelter in Massachusetts recently introduced a friendly feline resident who is waiting to meet his forever family and hoping they find him soon. “Cantaloupe is a sweet, handsome, calm 9-year old grey and white male cat looking for a quiet and loving home,” explains the local nonprofit animal shelter. Cantaloupe combines the perfect blend of affection and independence that many cat lovers seek. Despite his mature age, Cantaloupe maintains a gentle and inquisitive spirit, often enjoying supervised exploration time in the shelter’s cat room.

“Cantaloupe is friendly, independent and enjoys head pets from the volunteers,” explains the Quincy Animal Shelter. “He is a lovely cat and one of his most striking features are his absolutely huge double paws! Cantaloupe likes affection and also likes his independence so he is the perfect kitty for the right home.”
