Shavon Gurley, a Taunton man, was sentenced to 10 years in prison for his role in a drug trafficking operation that sold counterfeit pills, some containing methamphetamine, to an undercover officer. The sentence followed a trial in federal court in Boston, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Gurley, aka “Soo Soo,” 29, pleaded guilty in October 2024 to charges of distributing over 500 grams of methamphetamine. While out on pretrial release for a domestic violence case, he was involved in selling counterfeit Adderall pills containing methamphetamine. During a sting operation in August 2024, he sold 6,000 pills to an undercover officer and discussed trafficking larger quantities of drugs, including fentanyl, in the Northeast.
