A Chelmsford police lieutenant is facing serious charges after allegedly shielding a fellow law enforcement officer from an OUI arrest, authorities announced.
Lt. Francis Goode, Jr., 54, was indicted for tampering with records, witness intimidation, and violating public employee conduct standards, the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office announced on Tuesday, March 11.
Prosecutors say Goode altered dispatch records and told a subordinate not to charge a suspect because of his law enforcement status.
