Police identify homicide victim shot and killed near Boston intersection

Police have identified the man who was shot and killed near a Boston intersection Saturday night as 35-year-old Dorchester resident Shakar Caterson.

Officers responded to a radio call about a person shot near the intersection of Blue Hill Avenue and Georgia Street in Boston’s Dorchester neighborhood around 11 p.m. on May 3, Boston police said in a press release. They found Caterson at the scene with a gunshot wound.
