One new neighborhood added to Boston’s Open Streets

During a talkshow appearance Wednesday, Mayor Michelle Wu said she loves the programs and always hears positive feedback from participants.

The City of Boston announced Wednesday the dates and the five neighborhoods — with one new edition — that will be a part of its annual Open Streets program.

The Open Streets program, started in the summer of 2022, closes off neighborhood streets to car traffic to make space for games, activities, bicycling, and small business vendors. Here is the list of this year’s participating neighborhoods:

Roxbury: Saturday, July 12, Blue Hill Avenue from Warren Street to Quincy Street…
