Man charged after driving 140 mph on I-93, New Hampshire police say

SALEM, New Hampshire — A man from Massachusetts is facing multiple charges after he was reportedly observed driving 140 miles per hour on Memorial Day by New Hampshire State Police.

The agency set up a traffic enforcement initiative for the holiday Monday, which is when troopers first spotted a Corvette driving at speeds of roughly 110 mph at 7:45 a.m. along Interstate 93.

Troopers attempted to stop the vehicle, which was traveling northbound in the area of Salem, New Hampshire, but the driver reportedly “sped up significantly and passed other drivers recklessly, across all other lanes of travel,” the agency said in a news release…
