After 30 years, Blue Man Group to end its Boston residency

The nonverbal multimedia trio of paint-splattering, bald, blue performers, will end its run in Boston on July 6.

Blue Man Group, the nonverbal multimedia trio of paint-splattering, comedic, bald blue performers, will end its run in Boston on July 6, more than three decades after it began.

The troupe debuted at Astor Place in New York City in 1991 and at Boston’s Charles Playhouse four years later in 1995, reaching more than 4.5 million people in the city.

“It has been a privilege to be a part of Blue Man Group Boston, a camaraderie that has been celebrated by the Boston community since we first opened in 1995 at the Charles Playhouse,” Jonathan Screnci, General Manager, said in a release on Tuesday…
