‘We’re here, come outside’: New evidence revealed in shooting of Easton girl in face

FALL RIVER — A 19-year-old Brockton college student accused of shooting a girl in the face in Easton was ordered held without bail after new evidence was presented during his dangerousness hearing in Fall River Superior Court Tuesday, July 1.

Police identified Anthony Lopes, 19, of Brockton, as the shooter in a targeted robbery that shattered a 16-year-old girl’s face in January.

Lopes, who was arrested Jan. 14 hours after the shooting on firearms related charges and released on bail the following day, was re-arrested two weeks later after police identified him as the shooter…
