Historic home once owned by John Hancock up for sale in downtown Boston

If you’re looking to own — and live in — a piece of American history in the heart of Boston, you’re in luck.

The Ebenezer Hancock House at 10 Marshall St., built in the mid-1700s, is now up for sale for the first time in more than 50 years. The building is thought to be the only house from the time period left standing in downtown Boston. It was once owned by Founding Father John Hancock.

The house, which is listed as a Boston Landmark and on the National Register of Historic Places, sits right on Boston’s Freedom Trail, amidst the cobblestone alleys near Haymarket and Faneuil Hall.
