The MBTA Transit Police are on the lookout for an individual involved in a theft that took place earlier this month at South Station. A public appeal for assistance has been issued in hopes that a member of the public can identify the person of interest connected to the larceny that occurred on the morning of July 9.
According to a social media post by MBTA Transit Police, the suspect allegedly absconded with a victim’s backpack, which contained an undisclosed amount of cash, alongside other personal belongings. The incident happened at approximately 7 a.m., at one of the city’s major transport hubs.

In an effort to track down the suspect, transit police have released an image of the person of interest and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
