Incident being investigated near Fire headquarters in Medford, police say

People were asked to avoid the area near the Fire headquarters in Medford, Massachusetts, after an incident occurred there Saturday night.

Medford police say their emergency communications center received a 911 call around 7:45 p.m., with the caller expressing concern for someone’s well-being. Shortly thereafter, Armstrong Ambulance reported that they were with a victim, who had a gunshot wound, in front of their station on Union Street.

Medical aid was given on scene, and the person was taken to a local hospital, police said. There was no immediate update on the victim’s condition…
