Boston lawyer charged with fraud in $2M+ client theft case

A Boston lawyer bilked over $2 million he managed for clients, using the money for house payments, tuition and other personal things, federal prosecutors said.

Patrick J. Dolan, who lives in North Attleborough and Haverhill, was charged with wire fraud Thursday, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for Massachusetts.

He’s accused of a yearslong scheme involving $2 million he was holding in escrow during a family trust lawsuit — he represented someone involved, prosecutors said.
