The newly named Thomas Michael Menino Convention and Exhibition Center is a tribute to Boston’s longest-serving mayor, an icon known for his roots in the city and his vision for its future.
But when Tony Novack, a long-time Boston resident and big fan of Menino read the full name of the convention center formerly referred to as the BCEC, he wondered if it could use a shortened version,
