In a recent turn of events, former Hooksett police officer Schleiden Meneide was arrested in Waltham, Massachusetts, on charges of domestic violence. Authorities were alerted to the incident after a woman reported to the Manchester police yesterday at approximately 9:35 a.m. that Meneide had assaulted her and made life-threatening statements against her and her infant son, according to a news release from Manchester police obtained by InDepthNH.
The incident allegedly escalated to the point where Meneide strangled the woman until she lost consciousness. Regaining her senses, she found herself being threatened by Meneide with a shotgun with her infant son’s life at stake, as reported by NBC Boston. In the desperate situation, managed the woman to escape the apartment with her child.
A “Be on the Lookout” (BOLO) was promptly issued for Meneide, which led to his arrest later that evening at a hotel in Waltham.
