Boston Police Seek Public’s Aid to Identify Suspect in Roxbury Gun Incident

The Boston Police Department is reaching out to the local community for help identifying an individual connected to a recent gun-related incident in Roxbury. The case falls under the jurisdiction of District B-2 detectives who are probing the circumstances that led to the event which unfolded on August 21, around 4:40 p.m. at 368 Warren Street, according to a Boston Police Department alert released yesterday.

Investigators have disseminated a photo of an individual they believe may frequent Hazelwood Street and they urge anyone who recognizes him, or has any pertinent information, to come forward, in the incident the individual’s photograph is also included in the online alert urging the public’s participation in the identification process. The Boston Police Department has assured that the identities of informants can be kept confidential, encouraging community members to contribute any tips anonymously through various channels, which include the CrimeStoppers Tip Line via phone at 1-800-494-TIPS, text by sending “TIP” to CRIME (27463), or the online CrimeStoppers portal.

As the investigation proceeds, members of the public can assist not only by sharing tips but by submitting photo and video evidence that might be related to the case without fear of exposure since the department has a strict policy regarding the protection of the identities of anonymous contributors.
