Boston Police Arrest Suspected Burglar Linked to South End Business Break-Ins

Earlier today, a suspect was arrested by Boston Police in connection with a series of commercial burglaries plaguing the South End neighborhood. The Boston Police Department’s District D-4 officers apprehended 55-year-old Thomas Patak, identified by the Boston Regional Intelligence Center as the wanted individual in the string of break-ins. According to police reports, officers on patrol recognized Patak near Massachusetts Avenue and Newbury Street fitting the suspect’s description around midnight.

Upon conducting a subject stop, officers were able to confirm that Patak had, indeed, four active warrants for his arrest. These warrants included charges of Breaking and Entering a Building at Night for a Felony and Malicious Destruction of Property Under $1,200 among others. Patak’s apprehension occurred without incident and he is slated for arraignment at Boston Municipal Court.
