BOSTON (SHNS) – Gov. Maura Healey declined to say whether she supports Boston Mayor Michelle Wu ahead of Tuesday’s mayoral preliminary, telling reporters Monday she is “going to let voters decide.”
Healey’s choice to not weigh in on the mayoral contest comes as Boston is being sued by the U.S. Department of Justice over its so-called Trust Act, and as Wu is ahead in the polls against challenger Josh Kraft.
A recent Emerson College poll of 555 Boston voters showed the mayoral incumbent is ahead of Kraft by 50 points — a jump from her 30-point lead displayed in a June Suffolk University poll…
