A Boston man has been formally charged in connection with a shooting incident that occurred last Thursday in Danvers. Juan Salas, 23, faces multiple counts following his arrest by local authorities. First responders, including members of the Danvers Police Department, the local fire department, and Northeast Ambulance, were dispatched to Bay Drive in Danvers at around 2:44 p.m. after receiving reports of a person with a gunshot wound.
The injured party was initially treated on the scene before being transported to Beverly Hospital, and subsequently moved to a hospital in Boston for further care. In the aftermath, Salas was arrested and has been charged with assault and battery with a firearm, assault and battery on a family or household member, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling, improper storage of a firearm, and aggravated assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
