Detectives assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) have charged two men in connection with an armed robbery that occurred on the night of August 20, 2025, at Quincy Variety on Quincy Street in Dorchester.
At about 11:30 PM, a masked suspect armed with a knife entered the store, threatened the clerk, and stole several hundred dollars before fleeing on foot. Detectives later identified a bright blue BMW sedan as the getaway vehicle. Surveillance footage and subsequent investigation linked the vehicle to 27-year-old Oshaine Pearson of Dorchester, who was arrested on September 17, 2025, and charged with Armed Robbery, Accessory After the Fact, and Conspiracy.
The masked suspect inside the store was identified as 25-year-old Paul Tomlinson of Dorchester. Detectives linked Tomlinson to the incident through video surveillance, phone records, and corroborating evidence connecting him to Pearson and the BMW.
