‘The dogs did not exist’: Cambridge police warn of toy poodle sale scam

Animal control officials in Cambridge, Massachusetts, are alerting the public about a puppy-for-sale scam.

Flyers with the photo of a toy poodle are turning up on cars with information on how to purchase the dogs.

“We’ve all literally had them on our windshields, multiple times,” said Beth George, who has seen the flyers in her Cambridge neighborhood. “We just thought it was a neighbor selling illegal puppies, likely. We have an adorable labradoodle, so it was almost enticing.”…
