George Floyd protesters’ lawsuit against Boston and city cop can go to trial, judge rules

A judge ruled on Monday that a trial can proceed against a Boston police officer and the City of Boston in a lawsuit brought by four protestors who claim police used excessive force on them at a 2020 rally for George Floyd.

Judge Allison D. Burroughs also denied an attempt to separate the lawsuit into five separate trials.
