A massive rooftop bar that opened in Boston earlier this year has decided to cease operations “for the foreseeable future.”
The Essex Rooftop in South Boston, which opened in May, shared the news of the closure in an Instagram post Tuesday night, Sept. 30.
“Thank you for a great summer at The Essex Rooftop! Unfortunately, we have been unable to to obtain an entertainment license from the City due to ongoing opposition from the neighbors,” the post read…
