Woman killed in Roxbury remembered for ‘energy, humor and caring nature’

A 61-year-old woman shot and killed in Roxbury earlier this month was remembered in her obituary for her “energy, humor and caring nature.”

Marie Molea, of Boston, was shot in the area of 1855 Washington St. in Roxbury around 1:07 p.m. on Oct. 13. She was taken to Boston Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.

Molea grew up in Lynn, attending and later graduating from Lynn Classical High School before receiving a nursing degree from North Shore Community College. She worked as a school nurse at Callahan Elementary School in Lynn, and as a registered nurse for the Visiting Nurses Association, New England Home for the Deaf, and at Union Hospital…
