Lindsay Clancy, Mother Accused of Murdering 3 Children, Wants Trial Moved to Boston Due to Local ‘Disapproval’

Lindsay Clancy is seeking to have her upcoming murder trial moved from Plymouth County to Boston, according to a motion filed in court this week.

The Massachusetts mother is currently scheduled to stand trial on February 9, facing three counts each of murder and strangulation in the deaths of her children: 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson, and 8-month-old Callan Clancy.

In a motion submitted on November 3, defense attorney Kevin Reddington argued that Clancy cannot receive a fair trial in Plymouth County due to “extensive media coverage” and the “prejudicial information” it has spread, as well as the “community disapproval” that coverage has provoked. “The unavoidable conclusion is that Lindsay Clancy cannot be given a fair trial in Plymouth County,” Reddington wrote in the filing…
