Boston Police Arrest Two Suspects and Seize Illicit Firearms During Dorchester Traffic Stop

Today, Boston Police officers from District B-3 in Mattapan arrested two individuals during a traffic stop in Dorchester. The suspects, Zion Ford, 18, of Boston, and Jamori Freeman, 21, of West Roxbury, are facing multiple firearm-related charges.

At approximately 12:42 a.m., a sergeant on routine patrol observed a vehicle on Blue Hill Avenue with a defective brake light and initiated a traffic stop. During contact with the occupants, the rear passenger appeared to be concealing something, prompting a search. A subsequent pat frisk of the vehicle uncovered two firearms, according to the Boston Police Department.

The recovered firearms included a Smith & Wesson SD9 VE with a defaced serial number and a Deterrence Dispensed Civilized Defense CDD 17.2 that did not have a serial number.
