David Antonio Moran-Chavez Accused Of Burning Boston Cop Car

David Antonio Moran-Chavez, 19, of Norwalk, was arrested on Thursday, Dec. 4, on a fugitive-from-justice warrant in connection with the alleged arson, authorities said. He’s being held on a $500,000 bond and faces additional charges in Massachusetts.

Boston Police said officers responded to a takeover on Oct. 5 at the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue and Tremont Street. They tried to clear the crowd, but people refused to leave.

Boston police reported that people threw fireworks. Others jumped on police vehicles and hit the windows. Detectives said “one of the fireworks thrown caused one of the Boston Police Department vehicles to ignite and eventually become fully engulfed in flames.”…
