61-year-old woman pushed onto train tracks at North Station recovering from injuries

As a woman appeared in court Monday to face charges in an attack on a 61-year-old woman at Boston’s North Station, the victim just wants to know why it happened.

Rubiela Oritz Montoya of Revere, Massachusetts, said she was heading to an appointment on Thursday afternoon when she was pushed onto the train tracks, knocking her unconscious.

A woman she says she never met, 50-year-old Boston resident Nyleamah Kinsey, faced a judge Monday. She is charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon on a person 60 or over and disorderly conduct.

MBTA Transit Police arrested Kinsey Friday, saying surveillance footage shows her pushing Ortiz Montoya onto the tracks.

Speaking inside her Revere home on Monday, Ortiz Montoya said she only remembers waking up in the back of an ambulance and being treated for a head wound and arm and shoulder injury at Massachusetts General Hospital…
