BOSTON, December 8, 2025 – Suffolk Superior Court Judge Michael Pineault on Friday sentenced ANTHONY DEW, 43, of Dorchester to seven-and-a-half to nine years in state prison for a vicious 2024 attack on a 51-year-old woman that left her bruised, bloodied and screaming for help, Suffolk District Attorney Kevin Hayden announced.
A jury returned a partial verdict last week, convicting Dew of assault and battery, assault and battery causing serious bodily injury and strangulation.
A mistrial was declared for the remaining charges of attempted murder, rape and assault to murder. Dew will return to court January 21 for a status hearing on those charges…
