A Wilmington school bus driver is set to face criminal charges after police say he touched a child inappropriately.
The bus driver, a 70-year-old Wilmington man, is being summoned to Woburn District Court. Police intend to charge him with assault and battery and indecent assault and battery on a child under 14, Wilmington Police Chief Brian Pupa said in a statement. The man is not being identified because he was not arrested.
Police first learned of potentially inappropriate social media activity from a Wilmington bus driver on Monday, Dec. 8. The department began an investigation, which was ongoing when parents contacted police on Dec. 10 and Dec. 11 with additional concerns about the bus driver, Pupa said…
