‘You’d think I won the war!’: state, veterans celebrate 105th birthday of Beverly WWII marine

A World War II veteran celebrated his 105^th birthday Friday and was honored by his colleagues and state officials for leading a heroic life.

Louis Panzer, 105, served in the Pacific Ocean during the height of World War II as an aviation specialist.

Friday, he was recognized as the oldest living veteran in the city of Beverly — and possibly the state of Massachusetts…
