Boston Children’s Hospital is set to open a new 116-bed pediatric psychiatric hospital, backed by a $100 million donation from billionaire philanthropists Robert and Karen Hale.
The state-of-the-art mental health facility will be located on the campus of Franciscan Children’s in Brighton, which Boston Children’s acquired in 2023.
Slated to open in 2029, the hospital will offer both inpatient and outpatient treatment for a variety of mental health conditions and serve as a training site for psychiatrists and psychologists, Boston Children’s said…
