Mass Woman Suffers Major Injuries When Stolen Car Jumps Cambridge Curb; Friends Step Up To Help

A Massachusetts woman, 23, who was excited to start her new life, is lying in a hospital bed with dozens of serious, potentially life-altering injuries after a man in a stolen car crashed into her as she walked along a sidewalk, police said. Now, her friends are working to get her the help she needs.

Olivia “Liv” Zerwas, of Roslindale, a recent graduate of Emmanuel College, was walking to get coffee earlier this month in Cambridge when a stolen vehicle jumped a curb and crashed into her, pinning her against a building. She suffered a traumatic brain injury, broken legs, broken feet, eight fractured vertebrae, and severe burns.
