When it comes to winter weather, Massachusetts’ state groundhog, Ms. G, gets it right roughly two-thirds of the time.
As the story goes, if a groundhog sees their shadow on the morning of Feb. 2, it means there will be six more weeks of winter. If they don’t, then spring is set to arrive early. Since 2008, Ms. G’s prediction has been right 64% of the time.
