According to the charging documents, in July 2025, Forbes allegedly stole over 33,000 pounds of frozen snow crabs from a warehouse in Worcester. Leading up to the theft, a co-conspirator allegedly hacked into the email account of a trucking carrier company (Carrier 1), and pretended to be an employee of Carrier 1, using the email account to allegedly contact and contract with Shipper 1, a transportation business, to ship the goods to a customer in Jacksonville, F.L. Forbes allegedly arrived at the warehouse in Worcester pretending to work for Carrier 1, loading the seafood into his truck, and allegedly transported it to the location of a grocery store in Queens, N.Y.. Forbes allegedly took a picture of the cargo with his cellphone.
Earlier that year, in June, Forbes, along with a co-conspirator, allegedly pulled a similar theft with a shipment of blueberries in Winslow Junction, N.J. Forbes allegedly arranged to sell the fruit to a phone contact named “My customer for everything.”
In July, following both thefts, Forbes allegedly conspired to steal over $433,000 worth of cologne in Ronkonkoma, N.Y. A co-conspirator allegedly arranged for the goods to be shipped to a customer in Los Angeles, while Forbes allegedly contacted his “customer for everything” to make a sale for the cologne.
Should evidence prove Forbes guilty of the crimes he is alleged to have committed, Forbes faces sentences of up to or over a decade in prison.
