Mass. man found guilty of practicing dentistry, writing prescriptions without license

A Massachusetts man was found guilty of practicing dentistry without a license, writing illegal prescriptions and defrauding the state’s Medicaid program.

Fritz Gabriel, a 71-year-old Milton resident, was found guilty on Feb. 9 following an eight-day jury trial, according to the state Attorney General’s Office.

According to prosecutors, Gabriel billed MassHealth for procedures provided at a dental clinic in Boston — including root canals, fillings and extractions — that were never actually performed…
