We’re in melt mode for the next few days.
Melting mode
With tall snowbanks and snow still all over the roads, this is a blessing and a curse. It’s good to knock the banks back, but they also hem in the snowmelt, creating big ponds of water and slush. Refreezes at night firm it up, but then the process begins again the next day. This is the way, but it certainly isn’t a pleasant one.
We have singled out some stellar days into the weekend. Part of today can qualify — before afternoon clouds move in — and then there’s Friday and Saturday.
Saturday specifically gets the gold star for its bright skies and “mild” temps in the upper 40s.
Will we see more snow next week?
Next week the pattern becomes busy again. We’ll have a few snow showers Sunday, then a shot at some very cold air Monday…
